My Question of the Day: When an item is extremely popular, hard to get and/or sold out through its original source, do you ever pay extra to get it from another source, or do you just wait until the original source has it in stock and pay the regular price?
My 2 Cents: As tempted as I am to just pay the extra to have the item right now, I always, always, always make myself wait until I can pay the regular price. Sometimes when it’s back in stock, I realize I didn’t want the item as badly as I originally thought.
I wanted a Kindle for at least two years, but I was certain the price would go down or there would be another eReader to give it direct competition, and I might like the competitor better. As it turned out, I still wanted the Kindle, but I was able to get it free by helping out my brother’s boss, so waiting paid off.
