My Question of the Day for 08 September 2010 – UPDATED
My Question of the Day: Would the people who love you most and know you best consider you an optimist or a pessimist?
(this question inspired by a tweet by @xsashagirl; thanks!)
My 2 Cents: Those who love me most and know me best would probably call me a pessimist. When I was a teenager, I had a horrible attitude about everything. My mother would introduce me to people like this: “This is my daughter, Faydra. She hates everything.” I can laugh about it now, but it used to burn me up to hear her say that, and then one day I realized why she kept saying it. I was just annoyed all the time and very vocal about it. Thank goodness for growth and maturity.
I don’t think I’m either an optimist or a pessimist.
I think I’m practical, but I still say that loved ones would see me as a pessimist.
