My Question of the Day: You know someone on whom you can count through thick and thin, but he/she has one character flaw that you find absolutely annoying. He/she always exaggerates the truth. The tales are so far-fetched that you believe no other reasonable person would believe what he/she is saying, but this person seems absolutely convinced that what he/she is telling you is the truth. Despite that one, very annoying flaw, however, this person has never failed to be around when you needed someone in good times and in bad times. Is this a person you keep in your life?

My 2 Cents: I abhor when people exaggerate the truth. It’s usually not necessary and adds no value to the conversation at hand.

If this is someone on whom I can totally depend, this is definitely a person I would keep in my life, as long as he/she doesn’t have a problem with me saying, “I don’t believe you,” when I think he/she is embellishing the facts. If he/she can handle that, I can deal with the tall tales.
