My Question of the Day: There are 24, whole hours in one day, and it seems we hardly ever have enough time for all the things we’d like to accomplish. With that in mind, what is ONE (and only one) thing for which you’d like to have more time in your day?

My 2 Cents: The one thing for which I’d like to have more time in the day is touching base with family and friends.

Sitting on the phone for hours on end is just not a reality in my life right now, but I wish I had more time to do that, so I could keep in touch with the people.

I chat with people online, and I text with folks on my cell phone, but talking to them—hearing their voices and them hearing mine—is a “few and far between” form of communication for me.

My Question of the Day for 21 September 2009 – RESULTS

-

The Question: Is there a difference between surviving and living?

My 2 Cents: I share the sentiments of many of you on this question. Yes, there is a difference between surviving and living.

Surviving is just getting by emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually from day to day. Although an argument can be made that you’re not merely surviving if you’re well-off/rich/wealthy, I’d have to assert that not having emotional/mental/physical/spiritual well-being can abridge the many of the pleasures that money can afford you.

Living is having emotional/mental/physical and spiritual balance. On the flip side of the same financial coin, I would argue that not being well-off/rich/wealthy doesn’t necessarily erode your quality of life. You can live very comfortably without the accoutrements that money can buy as long as you have a sense of self and well-being.
