My Question of the Day for 25 October 2011

-

My Question of the Day: When Kirkland cleans the house, he’d prefer if his four-year-old son, Thad, weren’t so willing to help. What Kirkland can get done in 15 minutes takes almost twice as long when he has to show and explain to Thad how to do the same task, too. Do you think Kirkland should let Thad help or find something else to do to occupy his son’s time so he can get finished faster?

My Question of the Day for 02 September 2011

My Question of the Day: Hank was home with his 4-year-old, Jason, on a Sunday afternoon while Cara, his wife, was at work.

In anticipation of Jason’s numerous requests for hot dog bites, his favorite snack, Hank decided he’d cut up several links and leave them on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for Jason to get to without having to continually ask Hank, who was looking forward to watching a football game with some friends without being disturbed.

When the game started, Hank noticed that Jason would leave the room and come back with the little hot dog bites from the refrigerator. As the game started to get more and more exciting, Hank lost track of Jason’s goings and comings, and he hadn’t realized that Jason had been gone far longer than usual the last time he left.

About 30 minutes later, a screaming Cara prompted Hank and his friends to rush out of the living room and into the kitchen to find Cara crying hysterically and holding a blue-lipped and non-breathing Jason in her arms.

Once the preliminary investigation into Jason’s death was done, the coroner ruled that the little boy had died from choking on several hot dog bites. Cara, out of her mind with grief and anger, yelled to the police who were on the scene that she wanted Hank arrested for killing their son.

Do you think Hank should be held criminally responsible for Jason’s death?
