My Question of the Day for 19 August 2011
My Question of the Day: Many people see teen pregnancy as a problem in society, and many people see teen violence as a problem in society. If you had to choose which one is more destructive to the fabric of our human community, which one would you choose?

Violence, whether perpetrated by teens or adults, is always the most destructive force in society.

LikeDislikeWithout a doubt, teen violence. The cause is usually driven, in part, by parents losing control of their kids, sometimes due to the parents having kids at a young age.

LikeDislikeViolence is always a destructive force, regardless of whether it’s from teens or adults.

LikeDislikeWow, tough question, but I think the two go hand in hand dependent on the situation. I believe, are products of their environment. Bringing a child up in a violent environment and that is what they will know (especially without an older parental figure or any outside influence to steer them in a more positive direction). Not to say that teen violence cannot come from a non-violent environment, but I think kids are more susceptible when violence or unrest is all they know. I also believe there are teen mothers out there that learn from becoming a mother so young and try with all they have to do better, but the majority (my hometown is the perfect example) seem to slip through the cracks.

LikeDislikePregnancy, regardless the age of the mother, is always constructive in that there is a new life. Teen violence is obviously destructive.
