I agree with Peter G. Politics is not a requirement of a relationship so it never needs to be discussed at all.

LikeDislikeOh absolutely. Look at Maitlin (sp?) and James Carville. They’ve lasted and they are vigorously involved with their individual parties. I think what has led to Maria and Arnold’s split goes beyond politics.

LikeDislikeFor almost 18 years now my wife and I have simply not discussed our political opinions with each other. She goes her way, I go mine. Seems to work.
