My Question of the Day: When an item is extremely popular, hard to get and/or sold out through its original source, do you ever pay extra to get it from another source, or do you just wait until the original source has it in stock and pay the regular price?
My 2 Cents: As tempted as I am to just pay the extra to have the item right now, I always, always, always make myself wait until I can pay the regular price. Sometimes when it’s back in stock, I realize I didn’t want the item as badly as I originally thought.
I wanted a Kindle for at least two years, but I was certain the price would go down or there would be another eReader to give it direct competition, and I might like the competitor better. As it turned out, I still wanted the Kindle, but I was able to get it free by helping out my brother’s boss, so waiting paid off.

I would never pay extra for something that’s popular. I seldom pay full price for anything and I don’t like gadets, “EVERYTHING GOES ON SALE”, therefore, I will wait forever on a sale. Recently I saw a beautiful white dress that I wanted for 119.00 and I just purchased it for 29.00 dollars. I will wait for the item to go down in price and popularity.

LikeDislikeI usually wait. I haven’t come across anything that I want bad enough to camp outside the store or pay extra for…

LikeDislikeI never go to an outside source to purchase something, unless I go to eBay, and then I’m trying to get it for LESS than it sells in the stores. Otherwise, I just wait, and wait, and wait, and wait….until the item goes on SALE and purchase it for cheaper than everyone else who had to have it when it first came out. I’m cheap, and unconcerned abt keeping up with the Jones’, like that. LOL

LikeDislikeIf its something that I really really want, I will pay extra to get it. There are only a few things that I splurge on so I won’t buy every iPhone that comes out.

LikeDislikeI just wait because there’s no need to shell out extra dollars for something due to its popularity. If I don’t need it right away, I’d wait and chances are I’d probably won’t want it after the wait anyway after the hype has calmed.
