My Question of the Day: You cannot have Heathcliff Huxtable from “The Cosby Show” or Ward Cleaver from “Leave it to Beaver” as your father. You have to choose between Homer Simpson of “The Simpsons” or Peter Griffin of “Family Guy.” Who do you pick and why? ![]()
My 2 Cents: Um. I’m going to have to go with Homer, like most of you. I don’t like how Peter treats his daughter, Meg.

I’d go with Homer. The majority of his antics are self inflicted wounds. Peter’s poor decision making skills tend to do direct harm to his family.

LikeDislikeI’d opt to stay single for the rest of my life. I’ll choose neither, thank you.

LikeDislikeI’d have to go for Homer. Now even though neither is the “ideal” parent, he’s the lesser of two evils.

LikeDislikeI’ve never watched Family Guy and I’ve only see The Simpsons a couple of times. So I have to go with the devil I know – Homer.

LikeDisliked’oh! What a choice! Homer. Peter is too self-centered and if your name is Meg, look out. Then again, if your name is Bart, look out too. Homer has a job. What does Peter do again?

LikeDislikeI’ll take Homer – he’s clueless in general.
Peter seems to be an insensitive jerk who delights in being loud often. Have we ever seen Peter apologize for something? Don’t answer that, I can’t stand watching him for longer than a commercial break.

LikeDislikeHomer, because he’s less absent-minded than Peter. At least Homer feels regret and treats his kids with respect when due (Homer would get an invisible dog for me). Peter is clearly an idiot. I’ll probably disown him when I get to “the age of reasoning”. As a TV dad, both dads are amusing. But as my dad, it’s Homer. I rather inherit “d’oh”!

LikeDislikePeter Griffin because his only vice is that he’s an idiot but he’s not physically abusive like Homer and loves his wife (HOmer does too but he seems more honest about it) and is highly amusing. He provides them with a decent home life

LikeDislikeHomer, because he’s more genuine. Peter’s a jerk. He puts down his own daughter Meg all the time. At least when Homer chokes Bart, it’s because Bart did something awful. Peter just abuses Meg for no [bleep] reason. Peter needs counseling…lol.
