My Question of the Day: I have a friend from high school who told us that she never learned to skip. We thought that was so funny. Who doesn’t know how to skip?
With that in mind, is there anything you wish you could do, that you have tried to do over and over, for which you realize you just simply have little or no talent?
My 2 Cents: Logic puzzles.
I buy those logic puzzle books, I do well with the first one or two, and then I’m stumped for the rest of the book.
This drives me crazy! I have always done extremely well academically, but the idea that I don’t have the kind of brain to work through logic puzzles just sends me!
I haven’t tried any in awhile. I may pick up a new book soon and give it another shot. We’ll see.

To this day I wish I could lift one eyebrow at a time.
That is all.
Happy 4th Ya’ll.

LikeDislikeI was never good at riding a bike. I could ride in a straight line, but maneuvering corners was just beyond me. And I didn’t really like it enough to practice, so…I don’t ride bikes.

LikeDislikeOne thing I wish I had learned was how to play the piano.

LikeDislikeThere are a few things I’m not a superstar at doing.
I’ve forgotten how to ride a bike, lost my groove at swimming, and NEVER LEARNED how to do that super-loud, two-fingered whistle.
Every time I see people do those in movies, it’s positively impressive.

LikeDislikeSure…Swimming, sewing, frying chicken in a pan on the stove, cook rice in a pot on the stove, whistle…all those things I’ve always wanted to learn how to do but am now content in knowing that there will just be some things in life that will be beyond my expertise. Oh, did I mention dancing? No, well, yeah… I can’t do that with any kind of success either. LOL

LikeDislikeAnd skipping? Really? LOL!

LikeDislikeOne thing I’ve tried to do a few times is group exercise classes. I CANNOT follow along. I don’t know why, but I always end up looking like a complete fool.

LikeDislikeI wish I could learn to love running. From the outside, runners look like such an elite bunch of athletes and I am so envious. I am active now but was never an “jock” and have yet to complete a 5K. I often say I would rather hike 20 miles than run 1.

LikeDislikeI cannot swim or ride a bike. Tried taking swimming classes this past year, but havent made much progress.

LikeDislikePatrick, I just learned to ride a bike a couple of years ago. If I can do it, so can you. I’d suggest that you borrow a bike and go to the top of a small hill. Just work on your balance and coast down the hill. Repeat a few times to get used to it. Good luck.

LikeDislikeIf I could have a do over I would ask to take some hip hop classes. I’d love to have that form of dance ingrained in me from a young age!
