My Question of the Day: There’s nothing like earning your own money and not having to depend on anyone else. There’s a sense of independence that comes with being able to take care of yourself financially which makes you feel free. When you got your first REAL job, what was one (or two or three) of your first major purchases; a purchase or purchases that said to you, and others, “I’m grown”?
My 2 Cents: At the same time I got my first real job, I got my first apartment, so my first “I’m grown” purchases were to furnish this new apartment.
Not only did I have to buy furniture, I had to buy toothpaste, toilet paper, dishes, silverware, glasses and all the other things you don’t think about buying (or including in the cost of having your own place) when you’re living in your parents’ house and these things just seem to be there when you want/need them
.
After I bought all that stuff, and had about seven cents left until the next payday, you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t grown. Haha.
