Um, excuse me. I believe that’s mine…
My Question of the Day: When you are at home, you’re in the habit of leaving loose bills and change on a small table near the door where you put your mail. It’s never more than a few dollars and a few coins, and you live alone.
One day a friend comes by to visit. You all decide to go out shopping, and you all are getting ready to leave the house. As you approach the door, you realize you’ve forgotten your cellphone in your bedroom, and you tell your friend you’ll be right back and to wait by the front door.
You get your phone and head back. As you’re approaching your friend from the bedroom, you see him/her scoop up the bills and change and put them in his/her pocket.
What do you do?

TankaBar_JasonD I would guess they needed it more then I did. I would confront them 1 on1 and ask if they need any help. not 2 humiliate em.
womprat99 Ask if they need some monetary help. If not, why they needed to scoop up my money. Oh, and re-evaluate leaving money in that location.
JoshDamage I would probably say something sarcastic like “you’re welcome” its only a few bucks. However I now watch this person closely

I would confront them and ask then why they took my small change. I would not trust them after that, and would probably not continue to be friends. That is not the kind of company I would want to keep.

LikeDislikeI would definitely stop, stare, and break the silence to indicate that I saw this person scoop the money. I would ask that the money be placed back where it belonged and sit my friend down to ask what is up. You have to be able to trust your friends and I couldn't let this go even for a few dollars.

LikeDislikeI would ask them WTF they thought they were doing. Unless they got fly with it, there would be no further problems. I would be watching my back after that, though.

LikeDislikeEasiest question ever. I would instantly “request” my money to be returned where they found it and would ask for an explanation. Their answer would dictate my next move. Either way I would never trust them again, and would most likely not allow them back in my house.

LikeDislikeI'm calling her butt out for tryna swipe my petty cash, and then let it go. It's just not that big of a deal over no small change. Let her go in my purse though, and that's a whole different ball game!

LikeDislikeI'd ask them to put it back. That's so not cool. I mean if the need a lil' cash I'd be glad to spot 'em but don't just take my lil' change.

LikeDislikeI ask them why they're taking my money. I may need that money for something. But I don't mind them taking it, just ask.

LikeDislikeI'd say “Hey, What you doing? Put my [bleep] money back!!” If they denied it then there'd be a problem. If they tried to laugh it off I'd go along with it but never leave them alone in my house again (or possibly never invite them again). Finally, if they broke down and admitted money problems I'd talk through the situation with them and try and find a way to work it out without them ending up in prison.

LikeDislikeI yell at them and ask them what the heck their problem is. I dont understand why friends would steal from friends. And since we are friends I can get as rowdy as I want.
