My Question of the Day: For several years, you’ve been preparing for, what will be for YOU, a once-in-your-lifetime competition. At this moment in time, this is your only shot at fulfilling your life-long dream, and you’re ready, primed and heavily favored to come out the victor. A few days before the big event, someone near and dear to your heart dies unexpectedly. What do you do?

My 2 Cents: If it’s anyone other than my mother, I think I can suck it up and compete. If they’re already gone, I can pay my respects when I’m done. Not competing won’t bring him/her back.

If it’s my mommy, I don’t know if I will be able to take another breath after hearing the news. I know we all have to go, and usually parents go before their children, but I don’t know how I’ll handle not having my mom around. I can’t even imagine life without her. Call me a wimp, but it’s the truth.
