I think people forgot that our president is biracial and was not raised in a predominantly Black community. Even the Black side of his heritage is not African American- it's African. He went by "Barry" most of his life. He fell in love with a woman because of her (amazing) character moreso than because she is a Black woman.
Let's also keep in mind that the country is not controlled by a president. We have a government of representatives. We can't get mad at him without getting mad at them too (same thing with Bush, ya'll *sigh*).
Our country was ready for a Black president, just like we were ready for a biracial president. The media has sucked us into thinking of race, and we're putting on our blackface and white gloves and walking right into the trick.

The time has come to full fruition and never has there been a better time than now for an African American President. The Country needed someone that identifies with the majority and their challenges while operating with integrity and providing fair and sensible solutions for EVERYONE.

I am SOOOO proud to be an African American woman who can see the dreams of MY future generation of children and grand children now as I live and witness God's love for a Nation known as the greatest.

I know this nation will be brought back to it's full potential because of all the Americans who believe in President Obama</strong> and what he represents.
