My Question of the Day for 15 January 2010 – RESULTS
The Question: When disaster strikes, in the U.S. or abroad, what do YOU do to help those in need?
My 2 Cents: When disaster strikes, in the U.S. or abroad, my first reaction is to prayer fervently, and then my second reaction is to donate money.
I only volunteer or send something other than money if a specific need is made known. For example, during the Hurricane Katrina crisis, there was a specific call for bottled water, so I donated bottled water, as well as money. Sometimes sending physical items or physically showing up without knowing the logistics and needs can hinder more than help.
