My Question of the Day for 12 January 2010 With A Twist
My Question of the Day: You’re driving alone on your way home on a clear night and out of nowhere it begins pouring down rain to the point you have to slow your speed considerably. You’re on a two-lane street, so you pull over to the lane closest to the sidewalk and notice a woman caught out in the downpour with no umbrella, pushing one child in a stroller and balancing another child on her hip. What do you do?

Well…
I would pull near (with my cell phone visible) and offer the man with children a ride out of the rain. If he says yes, I then would say to him: “Listen, my husband worries about me when I put on my good Samaritan cape; so, I hope you don’t mind if I call him and I’m going to need to see your identification so he knows I know who I’m assisting. Hope you’re okay with that?
If the person says he does not have identification, then I would say is there anyone I can call for you or better yet can I give you my umbrella and a couple of towels for your kids? You just can’t pickup strangers in this day and time – it’s scary out there!
