My Question of the Day for 31 December 2009 With A Twist

by Faydra Deon on 31 December 2009

My Question of the Day: You’re invited to an event where alcohol will be served, but you don’t drink. What do you do?

My Question of the Day With A Twist: You and some friends drive to an event where alcohol will be served, and all the guests are drinking, including you. The event is coming to a close, and you realize you and everyone you came with was having such a fantastic time that all of you have indulged in a bit more alcohol than you or they planned. Your host has not made arrangements for people to stay over who may be too impaired to drive. What do you do?

Definitely call a taxi! If I go somewhere where I know I will even have one gulp of alcohol, I always make arrangements before I go for a designated driver, taxi, and or hotel close by.

I call someone to get me or I beg the host to let me stay a bit longer so I can sober up.

Plan A: UUhmm Ms. Hostess may we stay at your home?
Plan B: Lets walk home if it is not too far.
Plan C: Call a Taxi
There are no other options.

I hope I would be responsible enough to call a cab becasue life is not a dress rehearsal, so we only get on shot at this thing called life.

I agree w/ Tracey, call a taxi. Some cab companies even offer free rides to ring in the New Year.

I would have to see who’s the most stable to drive us, then find out who live the closest to the event we attended so we could all spend the night at 1 of the ppl houses i came with, because i definitely wouldnt want to impose on the hostess and ask them to stay, then im not sure if we left the car at the party and caught a cab if we would all get home safely. So i would recommend us to stay together and go to the friend house who live closest.
