My Question of the Day: 4TH FRIDAY PROUD PLUGS! What product(s)/service(s) do you offer? How do we find you on the web? Plug yourself, even if you don’t have a business. If you’re writing, rapping, singing, blogging, podcasting, painting, crocheting, whatever, let us know!

RULES FOR “4TH FRIDAY PROUD PLUGS” COMMENTS

1. Include one link per product/service being mentioned in your post. Comments that include obvious unnecessary and unrelated links will be deleted. Please preface each link with a description of where the user will be going when they click your link

2. I will not promote adult sites on the Question of the Day blog, no exceptions. I will only include family-friendly links. If your post is obviously irrelevant to the question at hand, it will be deleted. This is a tactic spammers use to simply show up on blogs.

My Question of the Day for 24 December 2009 – RESULTS

-

The Question: The means (methods) justify the end (outcome). Agree or Disagree?

My 2 Cents: As long as it isn’t illegal, unethical or immoral, I say the means (methods) justify the end (outcome). The bottom line is that you better be ready to live with the consequences of your actions, because you’re going to have to live with them regardless of whether you’re ready or not.

Take a few moments to check out the tweets from Twitter on this subject:

———-

Kitty B™ KittybTM  agree. If u require an outcome u must be devoted to any way to get there

Aqiyl Qasim consciousskillz  It depends. Righteous methods evoke a righteous/positive outcome and vice versa. Which one do you choose?

IntuitiveLifeNetwrk ILNorg  DISAGREE its the trip thats 95% of the fun!

Orion Dauphin ObiOrion  Disagree. It’s the ends justify the means. And I think it applies so long as you don’t violate your own principles.

Daniel Walker walkerdl  it depends. Ideally, no, but sometimes, the ends are good despite the means

Speaklife Speaklife2  Depends: rob a bank, kill a couple of ppl 2 give money 2 poor?- No; but, keep something frm someone 2 spare hurt?-Maybe.

Chela chela816  I don’t think the ends justify the means and while means *should* justify ends…unfortunately, they don’t always..

Pettra Tyus-Mapp Pettra88  Disagree sometimes the means outweigh the outcome!

PROTECTED TWEETER Depends, shouldn’t hurt ppl

Atane Ofiaja atane  Kind of an open ended question. It depends on the situation and/or moral inclination of the individual.

Sista GP sistagp  disagree

Stephanie Hargrove shargrove  disagree

Thed Weller thed_weezy  “at times… By any means, ya know?”

Vicky BLKMGK  Most of the time the ends justify the means.

Jason L. Wilson iJustJason  Usually. Can’t say always, but usually. We live in a result-driven culture & at the end of the day, the results matter

Risha Holmes rishaholmes  disagree

Joshua Gibson JoshDamage  because sometimes the means are brutal. But if it’s for a greater cause I’m for it. Perfect example: waterboarding terrorists

Joshua Gibson JoshDamage actually I do agree I’m sorry.

lt md20737  HARD question but I say NO

Please note that I will be picking winners for the months in 2011 that have not been done yet. I've gotten behind, but I'm a woman of my word. Beginning, 01 January 2012, there will only be one winner per month, and that one winner will receive a $30 Amazon gift card. For the months in 2011 that still need winners, there will still be two, $20 gift card winners. The change will take effect starting 01 January 2012. See details.
