I've heard of individuals who take advantage of some DMVs because they know that the road test isn't as difficult or challenging there. Maybe there should be more strict and universal requirements to pass the road test. Age does not equal maturity, so raising it doesn't solve anything. What could actually help would be to require better defensive driving education in order to obtain your license. Having raised several teens, I know that the maturity level is just not there. I feel the age should be raised to at least 18. I think it is totally backward to make the drinking age 21 and allow a child to DRIVE A CAR at 16. JMO I say yes, it should be raised.
