My Question of the Day for 11 November 2009
My Question of the Day: Should people put photos/videos of the children in their lives on non-password-protected websites?
RULES FOR COMMENTS
1. DO NOT include links in your post. There is a place for you to include one link when you’re filling out the Name/Email/Website information. Comments that include links will be deleted.
2. If your post is obviously irrelevant to the question at hand, it will be deleted. This is a tactic spammers use to simply show up on blogs.
3. Please keep your comments respectful. We can agree to disagree without attacking each other.

Paedophiles are out there but these days they are ruling our lives and those of our children. Look after your kids, but that doesn’t mean never letting anybody see their photos. In the UK some schools won’t even let parents photograph their own children in school concerts.

LikeDislikePeople should be allowed to do whatever they want with photos/videos of their child(ren), however, I don’t think anyone, celebrities included, should be financially compensated for those photographs/videos…any money received should be placed in a separate custodial account for the child(ren).

LikeDislikeI say no way. If you put your children online, you are inviting them to become victims. There are documented cases of stalker pedophiles kidnapping young children that they first saw on the web. This is a dangerous and completely irresponsible action on the part of a parent.

LikeDislikeOne should not place childrens on line period. There are some minds that pray on our children. Why should we make it easy for them to research and find the children. This is a medical condition that one can’t be cure of. No posting of children on the website period. “That is the way I see it.”
