My Question of the Day for 02 November 2009
My Question of the Day: When cast members are chosen for movie roles, if there is an actor who can actually play the part, should roles that portray a character with a particular handicap be given to someone who possesses that particular handicap?

Interesting question – had the very situation in past ‘castings’ – it is subjective, but basically a director’s main concern is: suits the role/has the skill/has the reputation for commitment/will follow thru.
Any other consideration is based on personality of both people.
Acting is not a ‘job’. It’s a vocation.
